FAQ

What is your minimum and maximum shot weight?

We can produce mouldings from as little as 0.1 grams and up to a maximum of 90 grams.

Do you have cleanroom facilities?

Yes, we have 2 fully validated class 7 cleanrooms.

Is all your tooling produced in house?

Yes, we produce and maintain all our mould tools on site within our fully equipped toolroom.

What material is your tooling produced from?

All our tooling is produced from fully hardened tool steel.

What's the smallest batch size you can run?

Anything from one moulding to one million.

Do I own the mould tool once it's produced?

Yes, once the balance has been paid you have full ownership.

Who is responsible for the insurance of my tooling once it's been produced?

We have a duty of care for the tooling and keep all tools in an alarmed and secure environment.  Customers are advised however to insure their own tools.

Do I need to collect my tooling after each run or order?

In general, most customers leave their tooling with us.

Can I still request a quote without CAD data or drawings?

If you don't have any CAD data, we would require a sample of the part or a drawing in some form, outlining the dimensions and key features.  We would also need to know what material you would like the part moulded in and how many units a year you would need produced.

Is there full traceabilty on the parts you produce?

Yes, we are ISO 9001:2008 registered and as such operate a Quality Management System.  This provides full traceability of materials used during the production process.

I have a tool from an existing supplier, could you run this for me?

Yes, we are happy to inherit tooling from your existing supplier provided it is of good quality and compatible with our machinery.

Do you produce extrusions?

We only specialise in injection moulding.

Do you hold finished products in stock?

Generally all parts are produced to order, but we can hold stock if order frequency and volumes warrant it.

Can you offer advice on material selection?

Yes, we have extensive knowledge of materials.  However, we also recommend that you consult material distributors directly to ensure the material chosen meets your specific requirements.
